What Are The Different Types Of Fine Art Reproduction? |
|
As well as hand painted fine art reproductions on canvas, there are several different mechanical methods of fine art reproduction – none however come close to accurately replicating the color and texture as hand painting does. Aquaprint: Is a printing process which uses color separation. The colors can be bright but the texture of the finished reproduction art is flat and does not mimic the artist’s brushstrokes. Artagraph: The artagraph is a special printing method which recreates not only the color of the original, but also the surface texture. This is achieved by taking a silicone mould of the original oil painting and using it in the fine art reproduction. The problem is that not many... |

Fine Art Prints
Author:
Kent Pinkerton
Considered as works of art and technology, fine art prints can be defined as artworks on a heavier archival type paper such as semi-gloss paper, watercolor paper or super-glossy papers; normally produced with a better printing process like serigraphy, stone lithography, or giclee. The printing method and the quality of paper on which the image is made are the most important components of a fine art print. Also known as iris print, giclee print is the most well known printing method used in fine art prints. This state-of-the-art printing method produces prints that closely resemble original paintings in all aspects. Giclee print has many advantages over other printing methods, in beauty, quality, and durability. Fine art prints are the perfect alternatives to posters and paintings. People opt for fine art prints as getting the original image is difficult or high-priced. As there is a chance of fading, fine art prints should be kept away from direct light and excessive heat. Fine art prints complement the home or office wall décor. Fine art prints based on different themes such as American life, animals, architecture, fantasy, and humor are ideal to modify the look and feel of a room. They are great gifts for special occasions such as birthdays, weddings, and anniversaries. Today, a wide assortment of fine art prints in a range of different sizes is available to choose from. High quality fine art prints including classic works, abstract and modern images are available as well. Auction houses, galleries, and art fairs are some sources for buying fine art prints. One can buy fine art prints from dealers or from contemporary artists. Furthermore, fine art prints can be purchased on the Internet. There are several malls, galleries, auctions, and artist websites through which one can purchase fine art prints. World class paintings made on artist’s canvas are also offered online. Art Prints provides detailed information on Art Prints, Fine Art Prints, Framed Art Prints, Original Fine Art Prints and more. Art Prints is affiliated with Fine Art Galleries.

Modern Abstract Art |
|
Modern abstract art is synonymous with abstract expressionism, created during the post-World War II era in America, which also made New York the hub of modern art. The art form, coined by art critic Robert Coates in 1946, emphasized spontaneous, automatic or subconscious creation. Through this modern abstract art, an artist expressed himself with the use of form and color, without representing any actual object. Abstract expressionism is considered to be the first American artistic movement, which gained international importance and was originally used to describe the work of Willem de Kooning, Jackson Pollock and Arshile Gorky. Modern abstract art can be divided into two groups: action painting, pioneered by artists such as Pollock, de Kooning, Franz Kline and Philip Guston; and the color field painting, practiced by Mark Rothko and Kenneth Noland. While action painting stressed the physical action involved in painting, color field painting is more concerned with exploring the effects of pure color on a canvas. Although modern abstract art does not follow any conventional art regulations, abstract expressionist paintings does have some common characteristics, like the use of large canvases, emphasis on the canvas?s inherent flatness, and giving equal importance to the entire area of the canvas. Although abstract expressionism lost its importance by the 1960s, it influenced the growth of other modern abstract forms like pop art and minimalism. Pop art emerged in the late 1950s in the UK and US, based on the themes of mass culture like advertising and comic books. The art form, also called neo-dada, was pioneered by Marcel Duchamp. Minimalism literally means stripping down an art form to its most fundamental features. In a minimalist painting, an artist uses only a... |
